5 Years In, Make Golf Your Thing & Golf Industry Continues to Open Doors

Make Golf Your Thing launched in summer 2020 when the golf industry united to address two challenges: sustaining the participation surge driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and strengthening inclusion across the sport and industry.

Over five years, the initiative has opened doors through both collective action under the Make Golf Your Thing banner and independent partner efforts. From new brands to community-based golf experiences nationwide, more people—including those historically underrepresented—are engaging with the game in a many ways.

Make Golf Your Thing has demonstrated the power of collaboration through support of grassroots organizations, an industry-wide career portal, and direct engagement at diverse career fairs and HBCU campuses by representatives from across the golf industry.

The following summary provides an overview of Make Golf Your Thing and its partners’ collective impact at the five-year mark.
