And we also believe you’ll love it once you try it. Golf has something for everybody, interested in golf for socializing in a friendly and fun environment – we’ve got you covered! Focused on health and wellness and have never thought about golf as an alternative – we’re here for you too! No matter where your golf journey is taking you we’re so excited to welcome you to our sport!  The following list of national adult programs was compiled by leaders in the golf industry with adults interested in exploring ways to start playing golf, top of mind.  Take some time to explore our list and find the program or programs that are the best fit for you and your friends to help Make Golf Your Thing.

#inviteHER

A simple invitation is all it takes to make a difference. Led by WE ARE GOLF, a coalition of leading golf industry organizations, and powered by the LPGA Women’s Network, #inviteHER is a movement that seeks to create an enjoyable, welcoming experience for women interested in trying the game or picking it back up—whether it be through a group lesson, complimentary clinic, driving range session, or on-course experience.

Get Golf Ready

Get Golf Ready is an industry-wide program created to deliver an experience at an affordable price for adult consumers from coast-to-coast where they will learn the game through a series of group lessons and transition to on- going playing opportunities. By participating in this program, students will be well on their way to becoming golfers

Doubles Golf

Co-founded by Jack Nicklaus and the creators of Junior League Golf, Doubles Golf® is a rebranding of the two-player scramble with an emphasis on 9-hole rounds. This format allows for a relaxed, fun, and inclusive golf experience for players of any age, gender, and skill level.

National Alliance of Accessible Golf

Since 2001, the National Alliance for Accessible Golf (National Alliance) is the leader in inclusion— working to ensure the opportunity for all individuals with disabilities to play the game of golf. Through golf, individuals with disabilities become actively engaged in the social fabric of a community and derive health benefits that improve quality of life. Our mission is to increase participation of people with disabilities in the game of golf.

PGA HOPE

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the 501 (c)(3) charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, taught by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. All programs are funded by PGA REACH so the cost of programming is free to all Veterans. PGA HOPE has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), which enables Recreational Therapists to refer Veterans to the PGA HOPE program as a form of therapy. Through a robust program strategy, PGA HOPE aspires to create a physically and emotionally healthier Veteran community by shaping lives, changing lives, and possibly saving lives through the game of golf.

Womens Golf Day

JUNE 1st – WOMENS GOLF DAY- live events around the world. Women can find a location near them and participate- public, private, free, cost – All PGATSS and Top Golf locations have an event on that day as well as many golf course, toptracer, driving ranges. This is a development program that is a movement. Annual event first Tuesday in June. Over 900 locations in 68 countries.

CityTour

The perfect combination of competitive and fun golf, the City Tour hosts weekend tournaments for amateur golfers 21+ in major cities throughout the country. These co-ed, team based events give the opportunity to choose between scramble and best ball formats making it inviting for all skill levels. With 100 local tournaments acting as qualifiers, the 2021 City Tour Championship will be held at Whistling Straits, 3 weeks prior to the Ryder Cup. There are no handicaps required and you can sign up as a team (4-6 players) or a free agent and we will take care of the rest. Check out the local schedule to find tournaments near you to get a chance to be one of the last groups to play Whistling Straits before the pros!
